Grove Masjid
Maple Grove Masjid began as a small group of Muslims establishing Friday prayers in a small conference room at the community center. They regularly met for about a year before the Covid pandemic in 2020 halted all public places of worship. In 2021 as things began to open up again, a group of volunteers worked together with the Muslim American Society of Minnesota to establish a formal masjid in Maple Grove.
About Us
It began with restoring group prayers in the community center and meeting one another at BBQ family potlucks. A specific goal was set to raise money for a private place to worship. That same fall the lease was signed for Maple Grove Masjid, located in a small strip mall between a dentist and Jazzercise studio. History was made in Maple Grove as its first masjid was officially established.
Improving lives, today and tomorrow
Maple Grove Masjid is home to Muslim communities in Maple Grove and surrounding northwest suburbs such as Rogers, St. Michael, and Otsego. Our community is richly diverse and our family-friendly atmosphere welcomes visitors traveling along I-94 or in the local shopping district. On Fridays, there are two jumu’ah salahs held at 12:00pm and 1:00pm. We also have monthly family potlucks, women’s halaqas, and youth groups.
